Young Alumni

University of North Georgia Young Alumni are define as graduates under 40, having graduated from North Georgia College & State University, Gainesville State College, or the University of North Georgia.

University of North Georgia’s Young Alumni Board is an affiliate of the Alumni Association (UNGAA). The board’s mission is to facilitate and effectively communicate opportunities for Young Alumni. The Young Alumni Board hosts annual events throughout the year for young alumni, as well as volunteer in several different capacities at the university.

Get Involved

  • Apply to become a Young Alumni Board member, applications are accepted on a rolling basis and voted on in June of each year.

  • A community of more than 50,000 alumni, MEMBERSHIP in the Association is available to all alumni who have been enrolled in a degree-granting program at the University of North Georgia for two semesters/quarters or more.

  • Shared Interest Groups (SIGs) at UNG are communities of Alumni that share a common affinity or bond based on shared experiences, identity, background, academic affiliation, profession, or other UNG-related interests.

  • The University of North Georgia Alumni Association honors our most outstanding alumni at the annual Alumni Awards Banquet. The awards include the Distinguished Alumni Award, Hall of Fame Award, Distinguished Young Alumni Award, Golden Steeple Award, Distinguished Professor Award, Dot Strother Alumni Scholarship, and the Hutcherson Outstanding Student Award.
