Major General Livingston is North Georgia’s sole recipient of the Medal of Honor. He was awarded the U.S. military's highest award for valor, the Medal of Honor, for his heroic actions in 1968 during the Vietnam War. MajGen Livingston attended North Georgia in 1957 during his freshman year.
