Dr. Michelle Antonia Eaton ’08
In her professional role, Dr. Michelle A. Eaton serves as the Associate Vice President for Student Success at the University of North Georgia, with an almost 15-year career dedicated to supporting and empowering students to find their purpose while earning a college degree. She holds a Doctor of Education in Learning, Leadership, and Organizational Development from the University of Georgia, a Master of Science in First-Year Studies from Kennesaw State University, and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of North Georgia n her role, Michelle leads key initiatives that enhance student retention and success, overseeing programs such as career services, student orientation, veteran, adult learner, and return-to-UNG programs, testing, and first-year experience. She works closely with university partners to develop equitable and impactful initiatives that foster student growth and persistence. Her research interests focus on growth mindset, persistence and retention, student well-being, first-year transitions, and self-authorship.
Outside of her professional life, Michelle is a devoted wife and mother of five—Reygan (14), Kennedy (10), Grant (8), Hayes (4), and Lincoln (3). She lives with her family in Dahlonega, where they embrace the charm of hobby farm life. A lover of animals, reading, and spending time by the water, Michelle enjoys moments with their "zoo crew" and actively participates in community events with her family. Committed to her faith, Michelle values time spent with loved ones and cherishes her relationships with family, friends, and the Lord. These relationships are central to her life, grounding her both personally and professionally.
