Kayla Ballenger

Kayla Ballenger is a Class of 2016 graduate, where she earned her bachelors degree in Environmental Spatial Analysis. After graduating, Kayla founded and is the principal consultant of Agonic GIS Solutions, LLC. Through this new agency, Kayla and her team have supported multiple for-profit and non-profit agencies in their goals to create effective means of communication for stakeholders and community members. Her goal is to meet businesses where they are and to teach them from the ground up how geospatial technologies can further support their business goals. Because of this goal, she listens to concerns and applies a personalized approach to provide successful and sustainable solutions.

As a result of this approach, Kayla has partnered with non-profit organizations in India to empower rural villages and local communities, supported communications agencies in reaching target audiences, and acted as a technical consultant to empower self-sufficiency and created lasting working relationships with telecommunications engineering firms.

While Kayla currently works full time at Atlantic Engineering Group as Senior GIS Manager, she also applies the same approach to work directly with members of the company across all teams to develop the most efficient geospatial processes. She has had the opportunity to help companies establish and implement geospatial technologies that support their goals. She considers herself lucky to have had the privilege to teach these companies how to use this technology to empower team members and overall communities.
