MAJ Jeffrey Teplis
MAJ Jeffrey Teplis is from Marietta, Georgia and received his bachelor’s degree in social science from the University of North Georgia (NGCSU) in 2008, and is a 2018 graduate from the University of Richmond with a Master’s in Human Resource Management. He commissioned as a 2LT in July 2008 at Fort Lewis, WA.
His assignments include Company Grade Section Chief (LG Branch), Brigade Executive Officer (3rd Division Sustainment Brigade, 3 ID); Battalion Executive Officer (703 BSB, 2 ABCT, 3 ID), Brigade Support Operations Officer (703 BSB, 2 ABCT, 3 ID), Executive Officer to the Army University Chief of Staff (CAC), Company Commander (Forward Support Company, 1-1 CAV SQDN, 2 ABCT, 1 AD), Battalion Executive Officer (47 BSB, 2 ABCT, 1 AD), Battalion S3 (70 BSB, 210 Fires BDE, 2 ID), Battalion S4 (26 BSB, 2 ABCT, 3 ID), and various positions in 1-9 FA, 2 ABCT, 3 ID.
MAJ Teplis’ military education includes the Army’s Command and General Staff College and the Logistics Captains Career Course.
His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (2), Army Commendation Medal (5), Army Achievement Medal (2), Iraq Campaign Medal (1 Campaign Star), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Medal, National Defense Medal, Army Service Medal, and Overseas Service Ribbon (numeral 2). He is also the recipient of the Honorable Order of Saint Barbara Award from the Field Artillery Association, Noble Patron of Armor from the Armor Association, and the Order of Samuel Sharpe from the Ordnance Corps Association.
He is married to Ashley Teplis and they have three children: Hannah, Patrick, and Matthew.
